It is indicated for  the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible organisms: Lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, infections of biliary tract, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, Bacterial septicemia, meningitis.
